Walking in sleeping bag

My 2yrold walks (and falls) about in his sleeping bag, also stands up in his cot. Guessing as we move him to a bed and bed rail were best to put him in a duvet the gate and protect the room?

Any advice?

Tuck the duvet firmly under the sides of the mattress so he feels the same security as the sleeping bag and also so he can't kick the duvet off him and get cold in the night

Yes we moved our 2 year old over to a bed with a duvet a couple of months ago.

At the moment he doesn't have the duvet on him at all as his room stays pretty warm and on chillier nights long sleeved PJ's are enough.

When the winter rolls around we are going to do as PP suggests and tuck the duvet around the sides so it's more secure

Our almost 3yr old still uses a sleeping bag, has been in a toddler bed for over a year. He moves around loads so would throw off a duvet still. He can walk in his sac but it slows him down .... just the way we like it Grin
His sac is age 3-6 years, I think he'll be in it for a while.
