My dd is 13 weeks old and after a bath I usually just dry her off and get her dressed. No real products in the bath just a few drops of baby bath.
Should I be moisturising her before dressing?? A friend seems to think I'm V odd not moisturising, and seems to lather hers up with some cream or other.

I'm a 1st time mum, so not too sure whats best -what does anyone else do?

No, never bothered moisturising either of mine.

I'm with Huw, never bothered moisturising afterwards. Obviously had ds had any dry skin or whatever I would have done but his skin was fine.

But did use couple of drops of olive oil in bath water rather than baby bath as less drying.

If skin isn't dry is no need to moisturise them.

Be careful if you use baby oil in the bath as it can make the bath slippery. In my first nanny job the mum asked me to rub a baby moisturiser into the baby's skin. I only put cream on mine if they feel dry which is rare. On cold days I moisturise their hands, faces and ears as it helps keep a bit of the cold out.

I'm a first time mum too and we had the same worry. We only put a little bubble bath in the water and on the odd occasion if my dd has dry feet and hands, then we put on some cream. But unless skin is dry, I wouldn't bother! x x
