DH and I are stumped as to what to get 15mo DS for chrimble - he's already got all the basic toys, stacking pots, jigsaws, musical instruments, loadsof books, shape sorters etc. Any ideas gratefully recieved!

When DS1 was 18 mo we got him the ELC garage for his cars - sill played with today by DS2 so a good investment.
Another good idea is a really nice book - eg Shirley Hughes anthology, Hairy McClary stories in one book, Winnie the Pooh - and write something nice in it.
Or is there any big toy he loves at toddler group? DS2 adored a ball thing that you put a ball down a hole and saw where it came out.

this was what DS2 liked tho we never got it as had toy overload by then Good for getting child to stand up and play tho, plus good cause and effect.

It might be an idea to put the money in his bank account for later in the year.

He'll probably get lots for Christmas, and he's only very little, so he won't miss getting a present from you - or you could buy something tiny and wrap it up?

It might be nice to get him some water play toys or similar in summer?

This is what we did for DS2 when he was little, as his birthday and Christmas are very close together, so we saved a few present 'credits' until later in the year.

Without being harsh, he won't have a clue if you don't get him anything at all! I guess he'll have presents to unwrap from grandparents etc. so why not do as suggested and top up his child tax/savings account?

We are getting DD1 some wooden letters to spell her name as DD2 got some bought at birth. Letterbox have lovely ones....
