15mo and separation anxiety

My dd will be 15mo next week and has for the past 4 weeks become really clingy with me. She only wants mummy and no-one else will do at all. She gets really upset if my oh tries to do anything with her- getting her ready in the morning etc. Apparently she has also been clingy with her key worker at nursery.

Is this just another phase and will it get better? We are persisting with my hubby changing her etc despite the wailing! She has cut 3/4molars in past month and last one has split the gum so in the process of erupting.

Any advice wise mumsnetters?

Yes it's a phase! Dd is 18.5 months and we are still experiencing it. I usually look after her full time but she's started with a childminder for 1 morning a week to see if it helps. It's exhausting isn't it! Hopefully it will pass soon

Crickey we've got a few months left then!

Yes it's really hard- I can't even go into another room without her either following me and whinging to be picked up. If my hubby tries to get her out of her cot in the morning then she's constantly saying mama until she sees me and she will straight away want to wander into our bedroom.

I know I should be flattered by it makes it hard to get things done!
