Speech therapy exercises for letter sounds

DS2 is having some SALT sessions atm & we are trying to work on his sounds. He is finding it tricky to copy the mouth shapes & sounds, so I wondered if anybody knows of any exercises we can do so that he practises sounds & it just seems fun to him please? The sounds we are concentrating on at the moment are 'f' & 'p'.

We used to practice in the bath withy DD2 age 3/4.

Could you do some games, trying to say lots of silly sentences starting with those sounds with a kind of stutter? You say it first and he repeats it?
e.g. p p p p please may I p p p p poke the p p p p penguin?
And then have a toy penguin available to be poked?

First he has to hear the difference. Have you done all the speech therapy exercises where he masters hearing the difference?

When you make the sounds make sure he can see your mouth & how your mouth is shaped when you say those sounds. Speak slowly & slightly exaggerate the sound.

lljkk we haven't done the hearing exercises you talk about, I think they would definitely be useful. We have SALT again on Thursday (3rd of block of 4 sessions) so I will mention it to her then. I've been trying to get him to watch my mouth, with some success.

Another thing I tried today was, when he was on the swing, I only pushed him when he made the 'p' sound. It worked a bit, eventually, so I think he seems to be reward-motivated.
