Potty training and accidents

Might sound like a daft concern but will soon be looking to start this whole process but my concern is our wooden floors. There are gaps between each floor board and I'm concerned about wee getting in between. Are there any mats I can buy? Any I have found are training mats for puppies?!?!

Use them, or a normal towel, wee is wee.

Or a really big cheap rug?

It's a really large space to cover and the only thing I can think of is tarpooling! I'm not being precious, it's just that underneath each gap of floorboard is a long strip of foil (for insulation) so if DD wees it'll go in2 that!

It's perfect weather to let her be naked at home but just concerned bout this flooring issue.
