To scream, shout and cause a fuss when it is time to go into school?

And does the same when he gets picked up by the after school club?

It makes me feel so crap that I leave him in the morning when he is like that.

I got told last night that another mother offered to walk down the road part way with them so he calmed down but I can't expect that every time but I also can't finish work everyday to pick him up from school.

I know when he gets into school or the after school club he is fine and has fun

In the mornings I give him a kiss and cuddle and go with him to line up with his class just like all the other Mums do.

For the after school club there isn't much I can do as I'm not there but I think that is why he plays up then as I think he hopes that I will be called to pick him up

hmm, I was just thinking could you be firm and say bye and then go, don't even give him the chance to play up. However, it sounds like you are doing something similar. So I'm no help! sorry!!
