4 week old.. Is this normal behaviour help!!

I have lovely 4 week old, my first and I'm a little concerned as to how she has been behaving this last week or so! I am breastfeeding and she was having regular feeds every 3 hours.. Now she will not leave my breast the very second i go to put her down after she falls asleep on my she cries hysterically.. I'll then pick her up and try again and within 2 mins she's asleep again.. I could be repeating this cycle for 3 maybe 4 hours a day meaning I can't get a single thing done. This is the same with formula as I have tried she will just want want want. I understand you should feed on demand but my concerns is if she is not sleeping or attached to my breast she is crying.
I have literally tried everything and nothing works!!
May seem silly but any tips would be appreciated!!

Completely normal for my dd for most of the early months. She is almost 9 months now and happy as Larry.

Have you tried a sling?

Totally normal. This is why new mothers get nothing done! She is used to being inside you and she wants the contact. Slings are a good way forward or swing chairs so she feels in constant movement.

I haven't tried a sling but I have been looking at them. I can't even get my self dressed to take her out its becoming really depressing she's only quiet when she's attached to me I've been doing this exact routine with her since about 11 am this morning I can't do housework even making my lunch or going to the loo is almost impossible without her screaming and I don't know why she's doing it I am struggling with this so much it reduces me to tears

I have tried the swing chair and it don't work the second I go Leave her side she is screaming ! It gets to the point I don't think she knows what she wants any more

Sorry you're finding it so hard. As long as she's in a safe place, sometimes they have to beat to cry for short periods so you can wee/get dressed.

Be left to cry, not beat to cry! Beating would be dreadful!!

I definitely recommend a sling. It sounds like she just wants to be with you and the beauty of a sling is you've got your hands free to make yourself some food or wash up or whatever you want to do. It's not practical for everything but it does make doing simple things a bit easier and gives you some sanity back.
Do you have a sling library near you where you could go and try some out?
It does get better, honest the first few weeks are hard so try not to be hard on yourself. Sounds like you're doing a grand job.
