Teething already ??

Can teething start as early as 13 weeks ? My dd was sleeping for a good 4-5 hour stretch during the night , not great but I could function ok. The last couple of nights she has been up every 1-2 hours , episodes of screaming during the day , drooling and ear pulling . She does have silent reflux but that is controlled with medication . My son got his first tooth around 5 and a half months ....

It certainly can. Dd had her first tooth at 12 weeks and 16 teeth by 13 months. Made for a grizy baby but calpol, baby bonjela and patience got me through!

That is early ! It looks like the front tooth is coming . Did your dds teeth come through in order ?

Dd's first tooth came through at about 17 weeks and she had all her teeth by a year. It was hell!

Dd had horrendous colic which morphed seamlessly into horrendous teething at about 17 weeks! There wasn't much sleep in our house for the first year of her life.

Good luck - sending you lots of Wine and Cake

Oh dear , poor you . Dd is also cows milk protein intolerant so no chocolate or cake for me !!

They did come through in order, just really really fast! Poor kid must have been in agony but it was all over quicker too which was a bonus.

I agree slightlyconfused - it's miserable while it's going on, but after that first awful year, dd started sleeping like a dream. Now, aged 10, she still loves her sleep and during the holidays will sleep for 13 hour stretches given the chance.

Sycamore - I send you lemon cake instead then. Smile
