I need some advice before I completely lose my sanity!

My little girl is 17 months old and this past week has been a moaning winging crying shrieking nightmare!!!! She's usually such a happy little thing but this past week has done nothing but protest and throw tantrums. She's fighting her dat time naps so gets tired aswell which makes it worse. I can't take her anywhere at the minute because the car journey is full of crying and shouting for no obvious reason. It's a horrible rainy day so we are stuck in ALL day and it just all seems so unbearable at the minute!!! :(

I feel your pain! Is she teething? Or may just be general tantrums.

I have days like this with my 23m old and the only thing that seems to work (for me anyway) is distraction! Although I feel bloody annoyed at the outbursts... Ie he will throw anything and everything he can get his hands on in front room and if I say No and tell him off he would laugh and do it more!! So instead I distract any way possible.., ie what's that's upstairs, I can hear a noise... Then go out of the room and he will follow, we would then go upstairs and id pretend it was his teddy and play a silly game. Or if we were out, I'd make out my phone was ringing and making a ringing sound and say you have a phone call, quick quick who is it?? And then pretend to talk and ask him questions who was on the phone and he would play along etc. With me the minute he was distracted (sometimes it would take a while to get there) he would forget about the tantrum.

Hope that helps a little x
