Very bossy toddler, what to do?

My 2 year old is extremely bossy, not so much with me and dp, I'd say that he's actually quite an "easy" toddler in as much as if he's cross about something he's easily distracted so tantrums are rare and short when they do happen.

He is extremely friendly, says hello to everyone we walk passed in the street, he always finds children to play with at the park, he will go up to other children and say hi, come play on the roundabout with me! He will then say not too fast/sit down/not there sit here/wait there and so on, he's quite friendly about saying these things and he's quite charming so the other kids just tend to do what he says, but what should I do? Just let them work it out between them or step in and tell him not to be so bossy?

You can try but no doubt he'll get a bigger bossier child ordering him about soon enough :-)

Ho doesn't sound too bad, if you ask me. Mine used to boss ME about and have hour long tantrums.

I'm sitting listening to my bossy 2 year old DS and his bossy 2 year old cousin as they're sharing a room on holiday.

They're easily working out their differences!

If you have a bossy toddler, it's easiest all round if you do as you are told Grin
