Anyone else referred for social development?

Just looking for thoughts/ own experiences really.
Ds has been having speach therapy. Though his speach has improved they have referred him as they think it isn't speach but social development?

Any ideas what this means/ what they are thinking?

They will probably not say what they think it could be until they have a better idea through looking at his wider development and talking to you about any difficulties or differences he has.

They may do a neurodevelopmental assessment which would pick up conditions like Autism.
