Not a problem, just a vent. Anyone else reached the stage of:

2 yo: Want X
Mummy: OK, here is X
2 yo: No want X, want Y
Mummy: OK, here is Y
2 yo: No want Y! Want X! Waaaaaaugh!

Feel like banging my head against the wall. I know this is normal but so frustrating!

Oh yes!

I took DS to the park yesterday on his bike. He chattered the whole time we were getting out of the car about how fast he was going to ride it. He rode it 10 yards and refused to go any further. Twenty minutes later, after a standoff, we got back in the car.

I feel like I live with the character Andy from little Britain.

My 2 year old wanted to go swimming he asked about it everyday for a week so eventually I took him and our 6 week old baby swimming, managed to get us all dressed but when we came out of the changing room 2 year old said "don't want to go swimming, what to go soft play" he refused to get in the water and kept trying to run back into the changing room. I cried.

Dressed into swimming costumes I ment, it was a palaver!

It is so infuriating! DD make up your bloody mind! When do they grow out of this stage...?

ISaySteadyOn · 19/05/2015 12:01

Wish I knew. DD1 skipped this stage but DD2, well, she has very firm ideas.

Oh yes. DS 2.3 is in full on contradictory mode.

Me: Would you like some strawberries?
Him: No. Grapes please.
Me: OK
Him: NOOOOOOOOOO! STAWBREES!

Me: Hmm produces strawberries.
Him:

The only happy person around here right now is the dog.
