Small Feet

DD is 14 months and walking. She is ready for proper shoes but took her to get her feet measured and she is only a size 1.5. This was at Clarks and they said their walkers dont start until a size 3.

Anyone else got a baby with small feet? Where do you get shoes? Is there anywhere that does from size 2? She currently has some little fabric shoes but needs something a bit sturdier.

We had this last year with our dd. Impossible! We just kept her in soft shoes until her feet grew a bit. And then in Portugal last June we managed to find some size 2 croc-style sandals which she wore until September.

She's now 2.5yo and still only a size 4...

Starts from size 1 with good solid bottoms, DD1 aged 5 still only wears a size 5 so I remember this very clearly.

This site does some lovely shoes

We were advised to get the soft soled pre walkers when my boy got his first shoes. I was a bit dubious because he'd been walking for a couple of months and the fitter said they weren't for outside use (seemed to kind of defeat the object) but they were fine for what we wanted (playing in parks/gardens). I don't know if they do them in a 2, he was a 5 and nearly too big for them, but they are a good first shoe.

Dd had (still has) tiny feet. We got startrite walkers in a size 2. She started walking at 10 months but her feet didn't reach a size 2 until 15 months. She's now 5 and a size 7.
