kill 'em. Grrrrrrrr!
I am sick to the back teeth of it. They get up in the morning within two seconds they are at each other. They go to school all day, come out and again, two seconds later they are at it again.
I exploded big time in the car on the way home from school with them today. So much, in fact, that I hurt my throat
Told them that I was fed up with asking nicely as they obviously didn't listen. They both started sobbing and said sorry.
All was well for an hour and now they are upstairs at it again!!

Wine Sparkler?!!!!!!!!! Seriously, I sympathise - it's just so bloody tiring isn't it - same old same old every day.

Sounds just like my DS's. They are at each other all the time.

Me - Nobody strangles anyone (although I wanted to say if anyone does the strangling around here it will be me!! )

dont know how old you dc's are but im finding threatening (or actually doing it if pushed) to send dd1 to bed at 6.30 pm if she misbehaves.shes 7 and this has been very effective for the last few mths tho i try hard not over use it.

as far as i can see everyone wins with this punishment, they get much needed sleep (usually what makes her misbehave) And i get an early break from it ! win win, no shouting just a calm warning and then if they carry on thats it bed early, do not ever give in to pleas of 1 more chance because if u do give in they will expect u to give in everytime and your warnings wont ework because they will think they can beg their way out of it.

My DSs are ok as long as I am playing with them. BUT as soon as I stop, they start fighting. DS1 always blames DS2, yet I know DS1 winds DS2 up so DS2 hits him back. Its ok at mo with my mum being here as I am not to well. I dont think it helped went xp1 used to have them Saturdays. he always told DS2 off and let DS1 do what ever. Now I have a DS1 who thinks hes the boss of the house (only 6 nearly 7) and thinks that everything is DS2 fault, and that he is picked on by others when he can not get what he wants. The naughty step works sometimes, but when DS1 is really trying and pushy he would seem to rather stay there and not try to be nice or being sorry for what he has done. Though after saying that DS1 has been loads better since not seeing his dad! SS just say its all part of growing up. Hmmmm they make programmes about this and try and stop it from happening as its not right for children to be fighting all the time.

When the DSs really go for it, I go to the bathroom and scream but with my mouth closed and stamp my feet. Then walk back into the room and try and sort things out! A bit like counting to 10

Yes I have been known to go into another room bury my head deep into my hands and yell very loudly. It does help you know. Well it's either that on pouring myself a very large vodka at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. I know which I'd prefer but I also know which is probably best.

If I did that then I would stop "hearing" the fighting. As I would be out of it for the rest of the night. I dont drink, maybe I should hehehe.

I think it must be just normal development behaviour because mine do it too!! I have two boys 4 and 2 - when apart they are always asking about each other but together they play nicely for about 10 minutes then it always ends in tears!!
I have to admit to leaving them to it because I figure they need to establish a pecking order between them and I suspect that as youngest grows, it will be the eldest that loses out!!

have you read a book on sibling rivalry by the authors of "how to talk so kids will listen...."? expect they're on amazon. both are really good imo. (or at least you could put earplugs in and read them while they fight . my ds's are 9 and 7 now. used to fight CONSTANTLY. has got so much better in last few years. now only occassional eruptions (from them and me). good luck, it is bloody awful.
