Drinking from a cup

I have a 12 month old boy and I am trying to get him to drink from a cup and not his bottle but he just refuses to drink so I end up giving him the bottle. Please can anybody give me some advice and what cup is the best to start him with.

We used the Tommee Tippee first cup. Cheap and cheerful. Why not try leaving it around with some water in it, in a 'not really bothered what you do with this new toy' way, and see what happens?
