Is my 4 yo stressed? Sleepwalking, wetting pants etc

4 yo DS been wetting pants fairly regularly (we get the odd dry week) since September, wakes several times in night and has recently started sleepwalking and sleeptalking, sometimes getting upset. Context: we moved house in October and he started new nursery in November. December I spent most of it in bed with morning sickness. January we told him he was going to be a big brother. Things have been more 'normal' since but wonder if all this change is likely to be causing the wetting and the sleep issues. The wetting started before we told him about the move. Just thought it might have settled down by now but with the sleep walking it seems to be worse. He seems happy enough otherwise.

Both my DH and my DD are prone to walking at night. Things that make them worse include processed foods, lots of sugar or in DH's case alcohol.

Can you keep a food diary? Then mark when he has episodes and how bad and at what times?

Check for threadworms and/or urine infection/constipation.
All the other things you mentioned could be related - that is quite a lot of stress for a 4 year old to cope with.

How is he at nursery?

DD1 is 7 and we have recently moved across the world. New house, new school, new friends.

She is settling in really well but we have had a couple of sleep walking incidents, a fair bit of sleep talking and an utter fear of going into toilets by herself, even at home.

It's beginning to fade more and more as she settles in.

It's a lot of upheaval for a small child, so your DS could be a bit stressed, but I do find they bounce back pretty swiftly.

That's the thing - its 6 months since we moved. The sleep walking is brand new, most nights in the last 10 days. We haven't given him any new foods. He sometimes wets himself at nursery and sometimes doesn't. Isn't remotely bothered by it.
