since my ds was born 4 yrs ago i no longer have a bond with my 9 yr old dd. i dont know wether its the age or her behavior. she is always fighting with her brother. she back chats wont tidy her room. she is alot better than 6 months ago. i dont spend time with her one on one because of the lack of bond. i also wouldnt know what to do with her. i hate feeling this way. i used to work with children and always found the younger children a joy so never dealt with older. please help

Could you maybe do something that is exclusively with her? go shopping, go for lunch. She maybe feels a bit competitive for your attention?. You are her mum and you are responsible for the relationship working, If you make the first positive move she may respond, and you can then build on that, dont think it will be as simple as Ive made it sound, will probably take a lot of work on your part but shes worth it, shes your daughter

Do try 1-on-1, it's well worth it.
