Book about managing friendships for primary aged child?

Ages ago I saw a book recommended that helps children who find friendships difficult. Sort of explaining the unwritten rules of friendship? How to show interest in another person without swamping them, that kind of thing. Written for the child to read.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about or can recommend any useful books? It's for a friend's DD who tends to rub people up the wrong way (in her mums words)

If you want a very straightforward book: You Are Friendly by Todd Snow and Melodee Strong is very good and gives children the tools they need to be kind to others (e.g. ask someone to play, give someone a hug when they are sad, hold the door for someone whose hands are full). I think they do need explicit instructions at pre-school age as they simply dont have the life experience and skills to know what to do to be a friend. There are also some funny and yet moving stories that kids can read to themselves (aged 5-ish) by Mo Williams - "Should I share my Ice Cream?" is brilliant!

Depending on childs age and what exactly you are after you may also like: "How Full Is Your Bucket?" (for Kids) by Tom Rath, Maurie J. Manning and Mary Reckmeyer.
