Just interested. My dd goes to bed at around 8pm, can't seem to get her in any earlier!

Dd is 3y 3m and goes to bed about 7.30. Sometimes later. she is not at all tired then and sits up 'reading' to herself most nights. 1yo dd goes to bed at same time but is tired by then.

TinyTearsFirstLove · 22/03/2015 22:50

Between 6 and 7, is absolutely shattered by then.

RandomMess · 22/03/2015 22:50

I have 4 dds - they all had different bedtimes around that age, one very late as she didn't need much sleep, one very very early as needed lots of sleep, the other 2 I reckon were average in bed 7ish and asleep soon after.

perfectlybroken · 22/03/2015 22:51

Normally up the stairs st 6 and asleep by 7. I wouldn't consider 8 particularly late though, if it works ok for you.

Nancyclancy · 22/03/2015 22:55

I've got 3 much older sons and I think this is why she's never gone to bed particularly early. The boys go up at 8, brush teeth and read for a bit and dd goes up with them.
I can't remember what time her brothers were in bed when they were her age. Just sometimes feels late.

She goes up between 7-7.30 but generally I'm downstairs with her in bed by 7.30.

She tends to sit up reading and talking to her toys for a while but if she stays up til 8 she starts getting ratty. She'll wake up at the same time the next morning regardless of bed time!
She'll be 4 next week.

Dss who is 4.5 will quite happily stay up charging about and jumping off the walls til 10.30/11 if we let him then will suddenly crash. He tends to need a quiet time during the day though where he gets ratty (regardless of whether he went to bed at 11 the night before or 7 with dd!) whereas dd doesn't.

8 seems a perfectly reasonable time if that's working for her

DD has just turned 4. At the moment she starts getting ready at 6.45 and asleep before 7.15. But she has just changed to a different kindergarten and is very tired in evenings.

She sleeps until between 6.45 and 8am.

startwig1982 · 23/03/2015 04:57

Normally bath time is 6.30/6.45 and we'e usually down again by 7.30. If he's had a nap (sometimes he just conks out) it'll be 8pm.

Iggly · 23/03/2015 06:39

Asleep between 7/7.30 if not napped.

fredfredgeorgejnr · 23/03/2015 12:52

Between 8 (very earliest, rare!) and 10pm (latest, also rare) typically in bed by 9pm, DD is 3.9.

NotLoveActually · 23/03/2015 12:58

Ds will be 4 in august. He goes to bed around 730 and is usually asleep by 815, after some carry on/ story time/ up to go to the toilet again/needing a drink/ just to have a nosy at what he's missing Grin

DrHarleenFrancesQuinzel · 23/03/2015 13:08

6:30-7 depending on how late tea is which then delays all other evening activities. She needs it by then though so do I

gourd · 23/03/2015 13:14

DD is in bed for about 7:45-8pm. She's always had the same bedtime since she was a baby. We are up at 6am.

QuietNinjaTardis · 23/03/2015 13:18

Ds is 5 and in bed for 7 normally asleep by 7.30 sometimes a bit earlier sometimes a bit later. He's up and awake between 6-6.30 no matter what time he fell asleep.

Dancingwitch · 23/03/2015 18:04

At that age, DD was going upstairs at 7.30 & we'd read, chat etc until 8.00 and she was usually asleep by 8.30. She was up between 6.00 and 6.15 each day. Within a week of starting reception, bedtime was brought forward by an hour and she rarely wakes before 6.45.

TelephoneIgnoringMachine · 23/03/2015 18:09

About 7.30 - 8, usually asleep within 15 minutes. She gets up at 6.30 ish every morning. She only naps for 45 - 60 minutes, 3 days a week (at nursery).

squiz81 · 24/03/2015 21:51

7:15-7:30. Today he had a nap in he day so it was 9

snowgirl1 · 25/03/2015 13:48

DD is 3.3 and goes upstairs around 8pm and to sleep around 9pm, sometimes as late as 9.30pm - but she is still having a 1 hour nap.
