EBF baby now refusing a bottle!

Hi, I've EBF our 5 month baby but made sure he had a bottle of breast milk just incase I wanted to stop feeding at any point. Three days ago he was holding the bottle and loving it. The past two days he's flatly refused. My DP who usually gives it has failed and so have I!!
Thing is I'm ready to move to formula in my head, I want my body back & freedom so I NEED him to take his bottle.
I'm not trying different teats and all that as he's been happy with the DR Browns bottles up until now. He has a dummy at nap times to settle him down which is like to add which he loves.
So ladies, I need quick fix here. My partner has very little patience or perseverance.

Hmm. Good luck. Never managed it myself. Get him on a sippy cup and once he's eating food that should be enough to keep him going

Ditch the bottle and feed milk from a (sterilised) sippy cup (or an open cup if you dare!). Bottles may be convenient but they are far from indispensable. None of my babies (4) would ever take a bottle.

Bottles are a relatively new invention my grandmother cup fed breastmilk to some of her children when she stopped breastfeeding for various reasons and also expressed for the local neonatal unit and volunteered feeding prem babies via cup or spoon back in the dim and distant past.

Best wishes

It could be a phase, mine were both combine fed and my youngest suddenly decided at around 4 months she wasn't accepting the bedtime bottle and wanted BF instead. DH just kept offering it but I BF if she got upset. She did stop fussing after a week or so and went back to combine feeding, stopping BF all together at 6 months. Not sure if there was a growth spurt / developmental / comfort thing going on but you could always just keep trying for a few more days in case he changes his mind.

I started practise with a tommee tippee freeflow sippy cup at 5mo and by 6mo he's mastered it.
He refused bottles from 3/4mo onwards and never took one again.
I'd give up and start training him to use a cup.
