What's the going rate for pocket money for 8 and 11 year olds and what 'jobs' do you require for them to earn it?

Mine is younger so doesn't get pocket money yet. When's she is about 4 I'll probably start giving her £5 a week to spend on what she wants, will increase as she gets older in exchange for some jobs.

Maybe loading the dishwasher, folding washing etc..

I have a friend and hers are 12 and 7 and they have to cool dinner and do there own washing, I don't think I personally would make mine do this at that age
