my life would be so much easier if i could ban ds and dd1 from communicating with each other untill theyve left home!!!!!

there is peace in the house if one of them is out playing,or if one of them is off school and the other at home.as soon as they are in a room together all i hear is screaming and shouting ...then ds2(age 3)will run to me crying because hes scared.
the two of them have been like this since i can remember,there is only 11 months between them in age(ds1 is nearly 9 and dd1 nearly 8).i can rmember dd1 being 2 weeks old and ds1 trying to launch her accross the room from her bouncy chair.then she became mobile and started getting her own back.
will it ever end??or are they going to fight for the rest of their lives???

Bad news for you - ds is 14 and dd is 13 (15 mths. difference), and it's got no better!!
They are either the best of friends, whispering secrets to each other, or at each others throats!
Dd has just started 'going out' with one of ds's best friends - I predict fireworks!

oh no-so when i give birth to db in march(there will be 15 months between him/her and dd2)i will have it IN STEREO.
all i can say is ds2 is going to be very good at negotiations when he grows up.

Mine are only 5 and 3 thought this phase would pass cant believe that ive got another 12 years of fighting ahead of me LOL

My sister and I were like this - either best friends or at each other's throats - until she emigrated aged 23... and there are six years between us! The 3,500 miles between us seem to have done the trick

There is light at the end if the tunnel, but it's a pretty long tunnel! DD (16) & DS (18) have been pretty good for about a year or so now, they do disagree sometimes, but are much more adult about it & it doesn't usually degenerate into a slanging match. DS has just gone to university & I think DD actually misses him quite a bit.

so things should calm down in about 8 or 9 years then...plus they'll be old enough for me to say 'can you take your little brother and sister out for a bit,theyre doing my head in with their arguing',and i can get my revenge

i dont remember arguing with my sister,she was 3.5 years older than me and i just used to do as she said till i was about 10.it must be siblings with age gaps of 2 years or less who argue the most.
