won't eat meals

hello i'm new my d will only eat soft food like yoghurts bananas weetabix and custard she will eat a sandwich but holds it in the front of her mouth till it goes to mush it takes her about an hour to eat 1/4 slice of bread without crust. i don't know how to change this , she is nearly 4 and i'm wooried about when she starts school has anyone else experienced this . i have a 6 year old who eats most foods

Hmm,sounds rather unusual.
I presume you have tried the offering,then taking away with no comment if she deosn't eat already?

I would ask GP for referral to dietician or speaach and language therapist (some have special qualifications in eating difficulties of a non emotional nature.)

Not being funny but have you ever watched house of tiny terrors, they have had a few kids with restricted eating habits like this.
