My son is 10 years old and recently I've noticed strange behaviour from him & so has his school.
When he was a toddler in nursery he was very mature for his age, didn't act like a toddler at all. Recently though his behaviour is very baby like, speaking like a young child would, acting silly and throwing child like tantrums if he doesn't get his own way. His teacher said its like he's progressing back to his younger years.
I didn't think anything of this until it was mentioned to me.

I would be greatful if anyone has any suggestions on what to do or what anyone thinks of this situation.

Thank you.

Hi, do you know who he plays with at school?
If he's with the younger ones, he may be mimicking their behaviour?
My ds is a very young 8 yr old. He swings from wanting to everything himself to wanting to be babied. And he loves playing with the younger kids.

Bit frustrating. Attention seeking? By the time secondary school swings around he should snap out of it pretty quickly, I would think.

Ask the teacher to check playtime and lunchtime to check up on him.
Hope they help you.
