Hyperactive 6 mo

Please tell me there is nothing wrong with my 6 mo, I'm seriously starting to wonder. The best comparison I can come up with is the Duracell bunny on speed. He just does not stop moving, his legs are constantly kicking, at nap times I have to hold his legs to get him to stay still enough to fall asleep. He doesn't stop shouting, ever - not unhappy, just constant noise. Yesterday we had an entire day of raspberries. He naps well enough, an hour and a half in the morning and then 2 more naps of 45 mins, and he falls asleep at bedtime easily enough, goes down at 7, up at 7 for the day, but nighttimes are awful. Last night as well as the usual 3 feeds (bf) we had two hours between 2 and 4 of chatting to his toy and blowing raspberries. Everybody comments on his 'energy', and I thought it was just him, but now I'm starting to wonder, not helped by my mum suggesting I 'seek advice' to 'see if I can get him to calm down' Hmm. Should I be worried? I'm bloody knackered, and losing perspective on what's normal.

Your little one is very very very normal!!!!! I have an almost 3 year old dd who was exactly the same and is still very active, very chatty, and doesn't know the meaning of "to keep still". There is nothing wrong with your little one at all

Sounds a lot like my 8 month old!

Yep - 13mo the same. Some are just 'active'. I think it's a god thing! Mine was like yours at 6 months and started crawling at 6.5 months, pulling up at 6.5 months, cruising and climbing stairs at 7 months!
Now at 13 months he can get out the bath and his cot! Can get into his highchair from standing on the floor... it amazes me what he can do!

good thing (not god thing)

My 15 month old DD is like this... I know when she's ill as she will sit still for 30 seconds! It's easier now she's walking as I can just take her out and let her run around to burn off some energy.

My 5 month LO is like this. She is constantly active whether it be making noises blowing raspberries jumping up and down reaching out for things to grab trying to sit up-you name it she wants to do it!
Was also getting a little worried as to whether this was normal because my friends babies are nowhere near as active! She just seems to want to do everything she cant yet do alone and to get hold of everything that is out of her reach!

Sounds like both mine at that age. Totally normal.
