Teething??

Hi
My 12 week old DD has started to shove her fingers into her mouth and is dribbling. Someone told me this is a sign of teething.

I thought she would be far too young yet, I cant see anything coming through on her gums.

How do I tell if she's teething?

Sounds just like it, but all the dribbling and fingers in mouth can go on for months before any teeth appear!

Agree with PP - these signs can take ages to actually delelvop into anything. Also look out for rashes in the cheeks and bottom and 'dodgy' bottoms!!! Also sometimes a little raised temperature. Cooled teething rings (just in a fridge) or flannel from fridge to chew on might be soothing for now.

and also give her some Calpol and bonjela as they are fab!....mine start dribbling when she was 8 weeks old but didnt get her first tooth when she was 6 mths old

yep dd is also doing the same. Has been since 10 weeks but no sign of teeth 8 weeks later!

impossible to tell when they're teething and when they're just dribbling/sticking their fingers in their mouths ime

ds did this from 4mo but didn't have a tooth til nearly a year old

a tooth coming though normally confirms it one way or another
