Basically just that. I'm soooo tired. I'm at a loss at what could be making her wake so much as she was sleeping 7/8 until 4/5 then a feed and back until 7am. Now for the last 6/8 weeks she's up all the time. Any advice welcome :)

Is she going through a growth spurt, is she needing an extra snack/meal in the day? Maybe she's just going through a phase and needs reassurance.

CatsCantFlyFast · 12/02/2015 13:52

We had this. It's another sleep regression I think

WorkingBling · 12/02/2015 13:54

Google nine month sleep regression. Almost as bad as four month sleep regression. With ds it stopped as soon as he then started crawling.

Countryside14 · 12/02/2015 14:10

She's crawling and cruising everywhere and has been for about a month now. She's fully fb and doesn't really like much solid food. I offer 3 times a day and snacks in between but she's never been eager to eat so I feel like she doesn't get as much as she should be having. I've thought about controlled crying but worry that she's actually hungry sometimes but can't be everytime.

It's harder now than when she was new born. Gaaaaa babies are sick hard work!!

What about baby rice or baby cereals with breast milk before bed.

NickyEds · 12/02/2015 15:26

Ds started waking two hourly at 7 months-ish (after sleeping through from 12 weeks ggrrrr) when he learned to crawl. Sorry op but that was it for us and sleep until 11 months when we night weaned him then did cc. We were very similar to you with worrying about if he was hungry and it was only after we successfully night weaned him that we did the cc.

Countryside14 · 12/02/2015 17:43

We just don't know what to do. She's not keen on eating on a whole so sometimes she'll take porridge before bed sometimes she won't even open her mouth. Today she's only had 3 bfs and hardly any solid food?! I just don't know what to do. She'll prob be up all night now hungry :(

Does she have a feed every time she wakes in the night? How is she at napping?

whyareallthegoodnicknamestaken · 12/02/2015 22:20

Ds just doesn't seem to need as much sleep as dd did. He's 20 months and is still waking frequently. I'm hoping the night waking will all come to an end soon and ill finally get a full nights sleep! Sorry I've got no advice but you're not alone!

Countryside14 · 13/02/2015 14:13

Yeah I mostly feed her back to sleep after the first stretch. If she wakes shortly after that I don't as I no she can't be hungry. She so bad at eating that I don't want to night wean because I worry she's hungry. Just the last 3 days he won't eat ANYTHING!!! Just breastmilk.

Keep in mind it's also a prime age fr separation anxiety to kick in. He might be waking just to reassure himself you're there. DS1 was the same. It should pass...

On the eating, is he still gaining weight (it'll be much slower now that he's crawling, but as long as he doesn't loose)? If so, and as lo as he has wet nappies and seems happy otherwise, trust him to regulate his meals. Sometimes they will eat next to nothing for days and sometimes lots...

Thank you everyone. Better night last night. Even had a lie in! Still no food Confused
