Hello We are raising our 3 y/o grand daughter, she has been out of nappies for a few months and there was no problem but in the last 2 weeks she has gone backwards, at home and at nursery, she just stands there and wees or walks around weeing, she doesn't care and we don't know how to get her clean again. We don't shout at her when she does it, we have gone back to asking her if she needs to go for a wee or a poo (she has crouched down once and pooed in her pants) but she says no every time. Would love some advice please.

Make it a total hassle for her to wet herself. Dont change her yourself, make her stop what she's doing, go to the bathroom, take off her wet clothes and put them in the laundry basket herself and then she has collect dry clothes and dress herself before resuming her activity, if you give minimal assistance then she'll soon click it takes less effort to visit the loo!

Have there been any significant changes inher life in the last few months? Eg something she's worried about or something taking attention away from her?
Is she really engrossed in what she's doing and doesn't want to waste time going to the loo?
Is she taking herself to the loo at all at any time of the day?
