What household responsibilities and routines do your children have? Do they prepare any of their own food/drinks, what are their chores, what do you expect term to do for themselves?

Dd is 8.

She makes drinks. lays the table. empties washing machine and tumble dryer. puts washing and drying on. feeds rabbits. sometimes sweeps or hoovers.

puts recycling out.

She also helps prepare food. She loves baking and can make her own sandwich or scrambled egg. butter toast. pours milk onto cereal.

Ds vacuums his room and front room, puts his dirty clothes in laundry basket, can load the washing machine, unloads the tumble dryer, puts his clothes away, lays the table, loads dishwasher, can bake cakes and cook pasta based meal, feeds cat etc. I try to get him to help with as much as possible but make it small fun jobs.
