Lack of Physical development babies

Hello need some help please not sure if this is right area as just joined - my son (3rd child) is 8 mths next week - he is slightly behind in coordinating / mental development approx 6-8 wks - my concern is that he doesn't seem to of developed any core strength and cannot sit unaided won't put any weight on feet / legs when held up won't lay on stomach won't make any attempt to move him self anywhere - he Lays on back happily playing for ages and will reach out to grab things above him and kick his legs out seemly with strength - he's being assessed in 2 wks by HV and just been to docs and he said I should be concerned

Is that all the Dr said? Is he waiting for the hv's feedback before referring you somewhere? When you say he won't lay on his stomach, does he scream when you try and get him to do tummy time?

Yes he cries when laid on stomach - doc said HV are on case they are bents people to direct to specialist if he doesn't pass the next assessment in a weeks time

It sounds like you've got things in hand tbh, you're doing the right thing to get assessments and hopefully it's a small delay.
