DS is 4.3, he has been dry in the day since he was 2 but never at night

A week ago he refused a nappy so we went with it, he wet the bed
The 2nd, 3rd and 4th night he was dry yipeeeee, this was with me lifting him for a wee around 10.30pm
However the last 3 nights he has wet the bed twice each night.
The problem is now he doesn't not want a nappy for bed time and got very upset at 3am this morning when I tried to out him in one, but he's wees are not waking him

Where do I go from here?

Err I'd try to convince him to wear the big boy pullups if you can. Night timedryness is a hormonal thing not something you can train. DD was 7 before the correct hormones kicked in, but was dry in the day at 2 1/2years. DS is dry at night at 4 but not dry during the day yet. They don't really advise lifting or withholding fluids. a healthy blader needs a good volume of liquid to work well.

I think your biggest problem is conniving him it's fine to still wear a pullup at night until his body is ready.

that should be can't train. grr phone.

Thank you
Yes, I forgot to mention that I don't think he is quit ready yet, or hasn't developed the hormone

It's just a battle now to get him to wear a pull up again

Have you been using normal pullups or the big kids ones. we've switched to the older sizer ones with DS. Mainly as he's a heavy wetter. But the patterns on them are quite different I've noticed.
They are the size 4-7year ones. mite help convince him if you say he's wearing big boy pullups and not the younger ones.
I'd also try and explain in simple terms that he's just not ready yet and it'll be more comfortable, he'll get more sleep if he wears one for now.
Sticker rewards can also be useful sometimes at this age of they are up for it. reward him for wearing his big boy pullup so he doesn't think there is anything wrong with wearing one.

Can you tell I'm in the middle of put traning mode.

No I've just got the normal pull ups, il pop to the shops tomorrow for some big boy ones Smile

Well it's almost bed time so wish me luck!

If he accepts the pull-up I'm at least looking forward to a full nights sleep and no wet sheets Wink
