8 month old no sign of teeth!

That's ok right? I know, I know, all babies develop at different rates, but nothing?!

Come hither oh ye mumsnetters with reassuring tales of late teethers!

It's fine. Mine were 11 months and 16 months (ok I admit I was getting a bit worried there) when first tooth appeared. Dd 8 months still has no sign of them. My oldest has just lost his first baby tooth aged 8, a good 2 years after most of his classmates.

My dd was 15 months before her first one. Absolutely fine, she's 12 now with lovely teeth.

Our DD didn't get any till 12 months but then loads came through in one go!

My DD is 10 months now and doesn't have a single tooth, and no sign of any even attempting to come through either.

Ahhhh that's what I needed to hear! Thanks all. I'll go back to enjoying her gummy little grin worry free.

Ds1 (11) didn't get any til he was 9 months and he has only lost 8 of his milk teeth so far.
Dentist says it's fine.

Ds2 by contrast was 4 months and lost his first 2 at 5!

Do not freak out :-) Mine was almost 10 months old before her first tooth came! She's got a mouthful now at 21 months.

My oldest was 13 months whether first tooth appeared, she could awake a d talk before she had any teeth!

DS was 10 months old when he cut his first and is currently in the process of cutting the last milk ones, aged 2 years 4 months.

DD had just one barely cut tooth at 12 months. She's 19 months old now and is just cutting her 14th :-)

Also to say although dd had her first two at 6 mo, at nearly 11 mo she hasn't had any more. So don't worry if baby gets a couple then nothing more for ages.

My dd is 12 months old now and still has no teeth but my DS got his first at 10 months x

9 months here and no teeth to be seen! (Litres and litres of dribble though...)

We got first teeth at 10 months and by 23 months they had all their teeth. It was very fast.

I've taught in Infant schools for more than 40 years and I've never come across a child who didn't have teeth!
