How old was baby when they started sitting up on their own?

Just out of curiosity - ds is almost 6 months. Nowhere near sitting up on his own yet tho

5.5 months - all 3 of mine were around this age. But I have fat beanbag babies, they kind of spread out when you sit them up and this keeps them upright

It varies lots. DD was 17 weeks. A friends DS was about 7 or 8 months.

Ds was around 4mths and DD 5mths.

dd1 -around 4 months
dd2-not till 7 months

DS1 6mts both DD's 5mths (no cushions!!) DS" is just 6mths tomorrow and he can sit but topples over every now and again. My friends baby is 8.5mths and otherwise is developing normally but he doesn't sit up.

I think ds was about 5 months and dd about 10 months.

my ds is 10 months old and only sits for a few seconds.lifes to exciting to sit still.my older 2 were sitting by 7/8 months i think.
