15 month clambering

Hello. My 15 month dd clambers and climbs over me a lot. Whether we are on sofa or on floor. It's quite uncomfortable especially if she's wearing shoes!
Sometimes more so if we have people round or if we are visiting. Which suggests clinginess.
I put her down on the floor/ settee next to me and then try to distract her with something but quite often she's clambering all over again.
This has been going on for a month now.
Any suggestions? Anyone been through this? Is it just a phase?
We have a lot of close physical contact through the day through cuddles and reading books sat on my knee so I really hope it's just a phase. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

I've got 14 month twins who do it too, normally both at the same time!
Take her shoes off for a start. I tend to plonk mine either on my lap or next to me and tell them not to climb, mummy's not a climbing frame. Eventually they get the hint.
