DD(9) looking shattered -puberty?

DD(9) has always been a lively, on the go from 5am to 7pm, kind of girl. You had to work REALLY hard to wear her out.

Recently however she has been looking exhausted all the time . She has caught every bug going eg. dec- stomach pains (Dr said gastro infection), d&v, eye infection (prescribed eye drops), throat infection (antibiotics). she frequently complains of stomach aches (roughly monthly).

She goes to bed religiously by 8pm, but unlike when she was younger (when if it was the right side of 4am it was a good thing) I am waking HER at 7am

Can this all be related to puberty? It feels like she is growing (height, feet and chest) just so quickly it feels like her body just can't keep up.

Is this normal? How worried should I be? Is there anything I can do to help?

Has she had a blood test? Anemia would be something to think about, and depending on the results of that you'd at least have a good starting point.

It does sound as though she's unusually tired for a 9 year old.

They're always tired when they're growing though.

I get mine chewable multivitamins when they are like this?
