Ok so I did a thread about feeling a bit at the end of my tether with ds.

Basically I don't like shouting cause I don't find it achieves anything. I only ever shout cause I've lost it, not because i find it effective. I don't want to do naughty steps or corners, time outs etc. I just want to be able to talk to my children and keep my cool. I respect that everyone has different styles but I have tried the naughty step, for example, a few times and it just didn't suit me iyswim.

Can anyone with similar views recommend any good books??

'How to talk so kids will listen' is often recommended on here

Cool thank you lovely... I never know what to make of the reviews they often seem fake. I've also been looking into 'playful parenting' and did find a MN thread on it.

Maybe I should look up like a top ten parenting books type of article.
