Meal time nightmare

My 2year old son refuses to eat at mealtime he screams and throws a tantrum as soon as I put the food in front of him tried ignoring him lke health visitor says and not giving him treats but nothing seems to work he is hungry and he asks for the food I dread meal times at the moment any ideas

Do you sit down and eat with him? Hes more likely to eat if you're eating too.

Try to get him involved in very simple ways eg. let him sprinkle some grated cheese on the bread and butter.

yes we sit down as a family

He sees that my daughter gets treats when she eats her tea but even that doesnt work

I will try the getting him involved idea ,I thought he was just doing it to play me up but he does it at my dads house as well when I am at work

Eat with him, and give lots of praise when he eats 'nicely'. If he is still carrying on, I would remove him from the table and let him realise that he won't get anything else.

Ds is going through a phase of throwing everything on the floor. I remove him from table and don't give anything else until next meal. Usually by tea time he is stuffing his face at the table!
