8 month old bored and clingy-- HELP!

My almost-8-month-old is bored of playing with all his toys and all he wants to do is walk around holding onto our fingers. He can't walk himself or crawl yet. He used to love his walker but screams when put in it now.

He plays better with daddy when mummy's not in sight, but when I sit next to him, he pulls himself up on me to walk, or just screams (won't let me sit across the room or out of eyeshot either). Also screams if I don't give him some of the food he sees me eating.

I have a feeling he's spoiled but don't know what to do about it since I can't stand him screaming all the time but dont' want a spoiled baby! He loves going out but as S Wales weather dictates we can't always go for walks when raining.

Please help! Need ideas/cures/distraction!!!

What about things from the cupboards and woodemn spoons to bang.
Mother and baby classes- give you a chance to have a "break" and chat as well.

Lovely phase eh?

hi Lindsay,
My DD is 9 months old and really wants to get about - she can get quite frustrated when she can't get to something! She likes going out for the change of scene, if it's raining we go in the car to an indoor shopping centre and just wander round there - is there one near you? Also every Tuesday we meet with some other mums - DD likes playing with the other babies and their toys. Are there any playgroups you could go to?
