My son keeps asking if I am cross

even when i just ask him or tell him to do/not to do something normally. I raise my voice at him maybe a couple of times a week (not bawling or anything) and don't smack him. Use the naughty step when he's naughty so not overly disciplined. Why does he keep asking if I am cross?

its your default face... it looks cross.

when my dd was in reception they were learning about emotions and were shown a number of photos with different expressions on. one of them is cross and your face must resemble the way the features were arranged.

I know this because this happened to me and my dd. I only found out becuase there was a display at school with the caption... who looks like this? and dd had written me. (about 6 years ago now so it could have been different wording) but she definately identified me as the cross one.

But im really good natured and it came as a surprise to me!
