Potty training at 13 months (poo only)

DD (13mo) has started to show an interest in the potty and has done 1 poo in it - she did a little one so I sat her on it before putting nappy back on.

Now every time she's done a poo and I'm changing her nappy she wants to sit on the potty although she doesn't do anything in it. Is she too young to hope for her to use the potty for poos?

I wouldnt discourage it...but wouldnt go into full blown potty training mode either! At least she associates the two things (my dd is coming 4 and still flipping soils herself, yet been dry for nearly a year!)

We have been doing that as well for poos.

I see when ds is startingto push say, and then take off the nappy and hold him over the potty so he does it on there. We have had him on that for a ges (about 6/7 months when we started), and so he has only had about a dozen dirty nappies since then, and usually when he is ill (so not the nice ones lol)

I would say carry on, as ds now is potty trained at 2, so quite good for a boy (my other one was way over 3, and still did poos in his pants)

Just keep it going and maybe get her before she does it.
