2 year old refusing to get dressed!

We are tearing our hair out as our dd seems to have developed a phobia of wearing clothes. We have tried all the usual things like allowing her to choose which outfit, telling her that once she is dressed she can come out and have fun in the garden, go to park etc but she just goes crazy and throws her clothes on the floor. She has been poorly this week with a tummy bug but seems fine now(don't know if this is connected)Has anyone got any advice as we need to get out and carry on with normal everyday things.

Personally, I'd ignore her. She's getting the better of you, by not wearing any clothes, she has all your attention for her "bad" behaviour.

Our DS wouldn't get dressed, just like your DD, infact the other day he wouldn't find his shoes (they were right infront of him) so we didn't go out. After about 10 minutes of this playing up (and as soon as I walked away and got on with something else) he miracurously found his shoes.

Being poorly probably has something to do with it, as you know yourself you don't want to do anything when you're poorly, but as she's better now, don't let her carry on this habit. Count to ten if needed!!

You have my sympathy as I know its frustrating as hell when you just want to get out the door!!

Ive tried just ignoring her and getting on with jobs etc but it doesn't seem to make a blind bit of difference. When I try again a bit later the same things happens! Its almost like she doesn't want to go anywhere and is revelling in her naked(with nappy) state!
