My daughter doesn't enjoy things!

My dd is 3 1/2. She goes to Pre school 4 mornings a week and loves it. The staff are always full of praise and she gets on with other children.
However at home with me she's the complete opposite (not as bad with dh, if I'm not around).
We are going to a craft morning at our local sure start centre this morning and I'm almost certain she'll kick off and not want to go in, if I ignore her behaviour she'll scream. But if I stick it out eventually (up to about an hour) she stops but sometimes I just can't face it.
She used to be like this when we went to other peoples houses, although she's calmed down a bit but it's not completely vanished.
We are becoming hermits, what can I do to help her?

Can you invite a friend to meet you somewhere? Does that help?

If not, could they come to play for a short while before going with you?

Sometimes a friend seems to encourage good behaviour. And may make it more exciting!

It will pass, though, I'm sure. Ar this age the world beyond home and nursery can seem big and scary as they begin to understand more and more about lofe. Their world is expanding and it can be very overwhelming.

Maybe she just wants to spend it with uou as opposed to structured activities. Why not do some stuff like a library visit and curl up with her into your lap and read, stay in and bake together, go to the park and feed the ducks etc?
