2year old going off food - new baby due this week

Ds has just turned 2 and has always eaten very well. Our dc2 is due any day now and ds is becoming increasingly more picky and fussy about his food as this pregnancy progresses.
This week we've hit a new low and all he'll eat is toast, fruit (strawberries and pineapple only when he's always eaten all fruits) pasta, cucumber and carrots (has always eaten all veg) He's refusing everything else. All meats are refused.
Any ideas how to get him back on track? Is he just reacting to the new arrival? TIA

IMO and E it's completely normal (even with a new baby on the way). It's just a L.O. becoming more independent . They're not dolls. The best way to deal is to make no fuss whatever, let him eat what he wants do not comment positively or negatively. They've got tiny stomachs.

His diet sounds fine anyway. Don't make a big deal out of it and it will pass believe me.

Maybe eat with him rather than stand over him (if you do) Grin Make some games up with his toys casually.
