Any recommendations for baby reins for a drunken soldier?

Hi my 11month old has started to walk recently but is still very unsteady on her feet, I want to get some reins but I am not sure which would be best for her. Can anyone recommend any reins that will be helpful to aid her walking and i can try to keep her up if she stumbles etc.

Please please don't use reins for this reason, it's really dangerous to be tugging on children's limbs in an effort to keep them standing. I carried dd until she was steady enough to not fall over all the time unless we were somewhere safer eg- softplay, or the carpet at home.
Reins are for making sure your dc don't run into the road/ river/ in front of traffic as a backup to holding hands. Maybe do some research?

If you'd still like rein advice, we use the little life backpacks with dd, she runs around being a ladybird and loves it!

11 month old dc is walking - we waited until she was properly steady on her feet before getting a small rucksack with reins. She tends to hold hands but if she wonders off she's close by.

At that age I liked the cheap reins that actually strap around their chest, it's much easier to catch them and keep them on their feet that way. The rucksack's are great but imo for slightly older kids who aren't as likely to fall over. So like these ones

Oh, and it's dangerous for kids to run off, so, you know, reins are pretty handy...

Does it? I stand corrected, I'd only seen the ones where you wore it like a backpack. Get one of them then, it's easier to make them carry their own stuff!

I'm with pinkandblue here. Any physio or ot who works with kids will tell you that walking aids tend to actually cause DELAY in strong walking - from reins to those plastic 'baby walkers'.

She will get surprisingly strong surprisingly quickly if she is given the opportunity to walk unaided a lot. The falls can look scary from an adult perspective, but they are natural, and babies are so close to the ground that it's not actually a big distance!

Reins have a place for some kids and families when older - eg when a mother of several is taking a toddler who likes to run away through a busy station or shopping centre - but not just yet!

Yep, second the advice that it's best to use reins more to stop steady walkers bolting. My DS has a littlelife backpack with rein included, it has a chest strap and he can put a snack and a toy in it. Bonus!

My dd was an early walker too (10mo!) and I know it's so annoying when they want to walk everywhere but you have the advantage of them being small/ light enough to carry for a bit. My dd mastered walking in 2 months, where she never fell unless she tripped over something on the floor, so maybe play the long game, and let her get some confidence!
Also, she will be really incapable of walking any distance at this age, so make the most of being able to stick her in a sling or buggy!!!! I wish buggy refusing dd 22mo would just sit bloody still!
