Is little one crawling? My DS was 6 months last Christmas so bought him the v-tech crawl ball which has lights, songs and moves away encouraging them to follow.

Other big hits in our house were the v-tech bath penguin and the hide n squeak eggs, plays things like shape sorters, touchy feely books (that's not my penguin / monkey / princess etc)

Hide and squeak eggs only. Put rest of money into an account to save against the future Christmases which the baby will remember! It's your last chance not to spend a fortune!

DS will be 7.5 months. He is getting a big bucket of Duplo, a hat and bathers (it will be Summer here) and a framed print of his namesake for his bedroom.

My DPs have bought him a dinosaur themed plate, bowl and cup. Very cute!

I was thinking of one of those electronic books as my older dd used to love them. And maybe some sort of shape sorter type toy. Nothing expensive in other words!

Shape sorters are good or a vetch push along thing. But not much as they don't need much !
