Meltdowns ! Help !

Ds3 is 2.9years. Yes, the classic toddler tantrum age. Plus he has just started daily playgroup - mornings only. He loves it and has settled well, but clearly being out of the house all morning is a big change for a little boy.

I can see the link between this information and the frequent mega meltdowns he's having (several per day), but I'd really appreciate hearing about anyone's experiences of this, and how they dealt with it. My older 3 obviously had meltdown moments too, but nowhere near as frequently ! He's getting so wound up he's really upsetting himself, and tbh I'm running out of tactics. Maybe I just need to wait for him to grow up a bit ?

Does he have a routine during the day or has an old routine been disrupted?
Children quite often react to a change in routine in this way and it just takes a while for them to settle into a new one!
Maybe keep explaining his new routine step by step to him everyday and hopefully he will begin to understand his new routine well!!!
e.g lets have breakfast, have a wash, brush your teeth, go to playschool ... etc

good luck
