Travel cot or blow up toddler bed or bed?

We are going to a hotel overnight soon. Our DD (now 2.1) has been in her cot bed with a bed guard since Easter. When we have been to my family to stay she had a mattress on the floor and when we were on holiday for a week she had a bed with a guard.

So what would others do...put her:

In a travel cot

In a ready-bed (www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/1849868.htm)

In a bed with a bed-guard? (may not be possible as we are getting a suite so not sure if they come with twin bed).

TIA!

We really regretted our Readybed (purchased when toddler was about 18months). It may be great for a sound sleeper but if your LO is anything like ours and is a sensitive sleeper (tossing/turning/waking up quite a bit) the whole thing turns into a squeaky, sweaty mess! The bedding they come with is polyester (I think) and is scratchy and sweat inducing. It squeaks with every little movement and is SO noisy when they're in the room with you.

We now go for a single mattress on the floor, or if not available, take a big duvet to put over the Readybed. This actually works quite well and turns it into a cosy little nest. Taking a duvet away with you feels a bit silly for such a small compact bed. If you're going somewhere with a spare duvet though, the Readybed duvet combo would be my suggestion!

take a bed guard but if you can't use it shove the mattress on the floor?

We used a toddler air bed for ds which wasn't noisy at all.

Roll up futon from The Futon Company. sorry, I don't know how to do links, but google it. It is really lightweight and and adult can sleep on it at a pinch. My daughter, 3.4, loves it.
