attitude, cheek...whatever you call it...from a 6 year old

dd is, on the whole, pretty good. But there's one thing she does that's guaranteed to push my buttons (and I know you'll tell me this is where I'm going wrong....) which I can only call cheek - not cheeky in a playful, friendly way, but downright rude, thrusty pouty body langauge and/or giggly-eye-rolling "I really don;t give a shit you're cross with me cos of what I just did". I'm reasonably measured in doling out a mixture of bribes/threats (or punishments/rewards if that's your preferred langauge) and give warnings etc etc. Is this just a 6 year old thing? and how do I stop myself feeling so angry about it? and how do I implement something that will stop it?

My dd is 5.9 and the same.
Always has to have the last word, constant 'dont give a shit' look and an emotional wreck!
I am a little worried there is something troubling her as she even more so than u sual lately
Im sure it is just a phase and it will blow over in 10/15 years time

Similar story here with DD (6) -I too wondered if something was worrying her as she seems so moody, flies off the handle, cries easily, has attitude etc. She says that nothing is worrying her but then later we had tears because she was thinking about my Gran who died just over a year ago.

Whatever you say to her, her immediate reply always starts "Yeah but...no but.." (mini Vicky Pollard!) so much so that DS (2.3) has started copying her and says it to make us laugh.

It had crossed my mind that if shes like this now what will she be like as a hormonal teenager
