dd banging her head on cot...any advice?

My dd is nearly 8months old and we have just taken her cot bumper away for safety.
She starts off 'feet to foot', but rumbles around until her head is against foot of cot.
Trouble is, she then knocks her head off end of cot every time she moves after that. This was reason i bought bumper in first place.
Does anyone have any advice on what I can do, as obviously I don't like her knocking her head.
Thank you

my advice is to let it happen, and she will soon learn not to do it iyswim. my dd did this at about 6 months and I put rolled up towels under sheet at either side of cot, as i thought bumpers where bad. she is know about 9months and now very rarley bangs head as she has learned no to do it. she does however stand up in cot and bangs for attention!! I think they go thru phases which disrupts their sleep, and you just have to go with the flow if you can.

thanks lillymolly.
i'll just let her get on with it. funny thing is it doesn't actually wake her up!!
i might try the trick with the towel tonight.
thanks again
